Family Support Organization Collaborative

Connecting, Collaborating, and Strengthening Partnerships to Improve Systems for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs and Disabilities and their Families.

The Minnesota Family Support Organization Collaborative is a space where family support organizations come together to collaborate, share knowledge, and build lasting partnerships. Through our gatherings, we co-create strategies to better serve families with children and youth who have special health needs and disabilities. Our goal is to improve systems by leveraging the collective wisdom and resources of organizations across Minnesota.

This month we are pleased to welcome Haley Brunelle, Family Engagement Research Coordinator and Lived Experience Partner from Gillette Children's. At Gillette Children's, Family Engagement in Research (FER) is transforming the way they approach pediatric care. As one of the first pediatric FER programs in the country, Gillette's approach is made possible through dedicated philanthropic support, which fuels patient-centered research that improves outcomes and sets them apart in the field of pediatric specialty care. Through FER, Gillette brings together clinicians, researchers, and lived experience partners to shape studies that are compassionate, relevant, and rooted in real life.
